MIRA as a Technical Service

MIRA is appointed as a Technical Service by VCA for EMC and Anti-Theft and by NSAI and RDW for all the legislation listed above.

As their appointed Technical Service MIRA may provide Conformity of Production (CoP) assessments for NSAI as part of an automotive type approval.

Approval procedure

MIRA is also recognised by SNCT-H (Luxembourg) as an acting Technical Service for some EMC testing.

A Technical Service is a body, with specialist skills in particular technologies, appointed by an Approval Authority to act as its agent to provide all the necessary procedures for assessment, documentation, testing, and reporting. This enables the Approval Authority to issue relevant Type Approval Certificates to the applicant through the Technical Service.

As a Technical Service MIRA provides a one-stop shop for components and vehicle manufacturers seeking approval under the above legislation.
