Designing Safer Roadsides 2

MIRA recently hosted another crash demonstration day on behalf of "The Passive Revolution" on our Highway and Vehicle Outdoor Crash (HAVOC) site. The purpose of the event was to demonstrate the crash performance of a variety of roadside furniture products, such as lighting columns and sign post assemblies.

170 attendees from a variety of organisations with interests in road safety such as the police, local authorities, highways agencies and equipment suppliers witnessed four demonstrations. Between each crash they were able to view the products and discuss their merits with the suppliers.
