Defence Vehicle Dynamics 2008

Organised by the MOD's SUV IPT, the DVD (Defence Vehicle Dynamics) show is a key event in the defence equipment calendar. It is aimed at vehicle, battlefield infrastructure and related support services industries with an interest in the defence sector. MIRA's presence at this event has grown year-on-year. Our displays at the 2008 show included autonomous vehicles, our new products, remote data communications and our general defence vehicle engineering capabilities.

MIRA Products Launch

This year's DVD show proved to be the ideal location for the launch of MIRA's own range of bespoke electrical and EMC related products.

Designed particularly with the needs of specialist and low volume vehicle manufacturers in mind, the range includes EMC filters and enclosures, bespoke power supplies and emergency vehicle light arrays.

Remote Data Communications (RDCom)

Also on the stand we ran a live demonstration of MIRA's RDCom system which allows customers to collect data remotely from their products anywhere in the world. The demonstration was kindly facilitated by Supacat who allowed us to fit a unit on one of their demonstration vehicles. As the vehicle navigated the Millbrook proving ground visitors to MIRA's stand were able to monitor its progress and see data uploaded by the RDCom unit and processed by MIRA's engineers in Nuneaton.

The RDCom system enables MIRA's customers to get their results without having to leave their desks. They can view the latest analysis, current system status or latest vehicle position, plotted for them on the RDCom secure web site.
